The first den meeting went well. I want to keep in close contact with everyone so we all progress at the same rate. <br />
Here is the recap of what we discussed:<br />

1) All the boys must have appropriate Webelos attire.<br />
<br />
2) All the boys MUST have a Webelos book. A good portion of what we will be doing this year will need to be done at home.<br />
<br />
3) All dues for the year will be collected at the next meeting on<span style="background-color: lime;"> 10/13/11</span>. Total due for each of us will be $30.00. Please make out checks to the Den Chief financial Officer-Louis Parente. We will discuss how this will work at a later date.<br />

4) A Denner will be voted in each month. Each boy will serve at least once.<br />
<br />
5) Each parent will have the opportunity to run an entire den meeting. We will discuss ahead of time what will be required.<br />

6) Please mark off in your book the following completed sections.<br />

For our next Den meeting we will all be meeting in the parking lot at <i>Box</i> <i>Seats at 332 Farnum Pike in Smithfield, RI.</i> From there we will car pool over to the Mowry Conservation area to look for and hopefully hear the Great Horned Owls that live there. I did this hike at night in the rain about one month ago, but unfortunately did not hear a thing. I thought this would be something different for the boys to experience. They can bring a flash light or head lamp to light their way, but NOT to shine on the owls-if we see/hear any. We can have our snack at the trail head when we finish up. We will be working on the following from the book:5A-5C-5D-5E-6B-12B-12C.<br />
